A Nigerian police officer, identified as Inspector Samuel Imana, has been reportedly arrested by the Delta State Police Command for shooting two people dead in Warri after he got drunk.
It was gathered that the police inspector accidentally shot the two persons dead at a child dedication last Sunday, 17th of September, at Ejewo Street, Off Okere Ugberikoko Road, Warri, Delta State.
According to the report, ‘Inspector Imana and his team were hired as escort for some yahoo boys who attended a child dedication, but trouble was said to have started when the boys began to spray money and the police inspector decided as usual to release some gun shot into the air but unfortunately the bullets hit 3 persons, 2 were reported dead, while the last is still in coma’.
One of the dead has been identified as Elvis Kugbere while the wounded is battling for his life at UBTH. The report has it that the inspector has been arrested by the disciplinary unit of the Nigerian Police Force Zone B, Warri, and would be arraigned today for trial at Asaba.
