The year was 2015. Mison Sere had beaten all odds to win Mr. Ugly Zimbabwe.
However, the win did not go as Mison planned. Zimbabweans rioted that the winner was not ugly enough to be their Mr. Ugly.
But the search is on again.
After a year’s break due to lack of sponsorship and funding, the search for Mr. Ugly Zimbabwe is back on.
David Machowa, the organizer told local media the contest will look out for appearance, confidence, zeal and character.
13 participants will display their ugliness to have a chance of representing Zimbabwe at the Mr. Ugly Africa contest in South Africa next year.
Will the winner be ugly enough this year? FYI, the winner gets $500.
