RStv, a state-owned television station in Port Harcourt, airs local entertainment, children and sports programmes as well as local and international news.
In line with its leading role in the drive towards digital migration, GOtv has launched more Free-to-Air channels on its platform.
The newly launched channels are River State Television on channel 103, Edo Broadcasting Service on channel 104 and Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State on channel 105.
The channels are available only in their respective states and are available to GOtv Plus, Value and Lite subscribers.

EBS, an equally state-owned television service, broadcasts mainly news current affairs, entertainment and lifestyle programmes, while BCOS, owned by the Oyo State government, is into the broadcast of news, entertainment, educational and public enlightenment programmes.
Speaking on the launch of the channels, Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, said: “We are very excited about our new channel offerings and the role of GOtv in promoting local content and cultural values. It is a true testament of our vision to transform the pay- television landscape in the country and make digital television services a must – have for all Nigerians”.
