Backsliding Is Not An Option

BACKSLIDING IS NOT AN OPTION.

“Now the just shall live by faith:but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrew 10:38.

Jesus asked His Disciples at a point in His Ministry :“Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?” John‬ ‭6:67‬.

This Christian journey is a one way traffic,once you enter the road there is no diversion or going backwards; to do so will be a violation of the rules and the consequences are not desirable at all.(Genesis 19:26).

In the weapons provided for us,no provision was made for the back because we are expected to keep moving forward till all the enemies are vanquished.( Ephesians 6:13-17).

Jesus said in Luke 9:62,once you put your hands on the plough there is no looking back.

Are you tired of this journey,considering others with their lands and gold and you wonder what is happening?Keep your focus, don’t be discouraged; God will come through for you as you keep looking unto Him Hebrews 12:2).

Examples of those who looked back
1.Lot’s wife: She looked backed because of worldly possessions (Genesis 19:26).

2.Demas: At the time mostly needed in ministry, he was drawn back by pleasure of the world (2 Timothy 4:10).
3.Hymenaeus and Alexandra :They made a shipwreck of their faith (1 Timothy 1:9-20).

What to do:
1.Do not fret:the longer the journey seems,the closer your way home.

3.Always remember,the back has no protection, keep thrusting forward.

3.Keep looking at the perfect law (the word of God)of liberty that will set free.

4.Be fully armed with the weapons of warfare and be on guard.

5.Avoid worldly distractions and pleasures.

Prayer points:

1.Father,thank You because You are my focus and guiding light.

2.Father,let my eyes be steady on You no matter the challenges and worldly attractions.

3.Whatever will make me deny You,Father take it far from me

4.Father,every obstacle and distraction on this journey please give me grace to overcome.

5.Father in the name of Jesus please show me the path of life and joy.

6.Father,having come this far,don’t let me be a cast away or make a shipwreck of my faith in Jesus name.amen.
